A tribute to the workhorses
Sandvikentreffet is an annual event that attracts owners and enthusiasts of vintage vehicles from all over the country. This is not just an exhibition of shiny cars, but a celebration of the old workhorses that for decades built the country and provided transportation along the narrow, winding roads of Telemark.
It is an impressive sight when the large vehicles are lined up against the blue Tinnsjøen. Here you can study the details of everything from old milk trucks and timber transports to classic long-distance cars. Conversation is casual between hood openings and coffee cups, and the environment is known for being very inclusive and pleasant.

The highlight for many is when the historic cars set off on a joint trip along the beautiful roads of Tinn. Seeing and hearing a column of old engines rumble through the landscape is an experience that takes you right back in time.

For participants: We recommend early booking of cabins or parking space, as this event fills up our space quickly.
For the public: The exhibition at the campsite is open to anyone who wants to take a look, reminisce a bit or secure some great photos of the historic vehicles.
Food and drink: The café and Kulturlåven are of course open and function as the social heart of the event.
