Tourism is the primary strategic focus of Tinn Municipality in terms of business development and visitor experiences. We will succeed in this endeavor by working systematically and proactively with sustainability at the core of all efforts.

Tourism in Tinn has been an important part of the local economy since the early 19th century. Since then, the power of the Rjukanfossen waterfall and the area’s spectacular landscape have attracted numerous visitors. Today, tourism is just as important for Rjukan – if not even more so. The continued development of Tinn as a sustainable tourism destination is therefore of great importance to the municipality as well.
