Rikulv lived in the Middle Ages and was outlawed after killing one of the wealthy farmers in a dispute over fishingrights in Lake Mårvatn.
The Rjukan Waterfall is unfortunately much less impressive than it used to be as most of the water has now been diverted into pipes running to the Vemork power station.
Hardangervidda is the largest national park in Norway, and the scenery is varied with steep mountainsides and spectacular views.
