Telemark Opplevelser

Telemark Opplevelser offers guided mountain hikes, tours along the Saboteur Trail, and bungee jumping in the Vemork Gorge.

Bungee Jumping in Vemork Gorge

An unforgettable experience and one of Norway’s most spectacular bungee jumps. It is an 84-meter drop from the Vemork Bridge to the bottom of the gorge!
If you are under 16, you must have parental permission. This is not an activity for young children; we recommend participants be at least 13 years old. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding bungee jumping and children.

If you are a group or company wishing to bungee jump outside our standard opening hours, please contact Tone with your request! Note: There is a minimum requirement of 10 jumps.

Mountain Guiding

Jon Haukåssveen is an internationally certified mountain guide (IVBV/UIAGM/IFMGA) and an active member of the Langfjella Alpine Rescue Group. We offer mountain guiding services year-round for both individuals and larger groups!

In the Footsteps of the Saboteurs

This is the authentic, original saboteur route. We begin the hike at the Hjerdalen Road Association parking lot (signposted from County Road 37 as "P-plass sabotørruta"). From there, we head into Hjerdalen and up through Fjøsbudalen, enjoying great views of Gaustatoppen and eventually the Norwegian Industrial Workers Museum. The route continues down to the spot where the saboteurs crossed the gorge; fixed ropes have been installed here to assist the crossing. After climbing out of the gorge, we follow the old railway line to the museum. Along the way, you will hear the story behind one of the most famous operations of World War II. We aim to connect this tour to contemporary society—for instance, by exploring the demands of everyday life.

The entire tour takes approximately 4–5 hours, including a lunch break. We offer several different lunch options; please email Tone for pricing and further information.
