Mårbu is a natural stopover for a cabin-to-cabin tour on Hardangervidda. The cabin is situated at Skartåkervollen on the shore of Søre Nordmannsslepa.
The Rjukan Railway was built by Norsk Hydro, and opened in 1909. It’s a unique railway which enabled Sam Eyde to build a power station and factories.
The centre’s objective is to preserve the rich handicraft traditions in Tinn and to offer local artists their own production and sales premises.

Ryes vei is a path that goes underneath the cable car, Krossobanen, and is the way the Norwegian saboteurs escaped atfer blowing up the heavy water factory. Therefore Ryes vei is also called “The Retreat”.
Kalhovd lies on the east bank of the Kalhovd Fjord, at the eastern rim of the Hardanger Plateau and is a natural gateway to the plateau.
Kalhovd Tourist Cabin is a cosy lounge with a fireplace and a dining room seating 60 – 80 people.
