Ryes vei – The retreat
Ryes vei is a path that goes underneath the cable car, Krossobanen, and is the way the Norwegian saboteurs escaped atfer blowing up the heavy water factory. Therefore Ryes vei is also called “The Retreat”.

Krossobanen was built in 1928 and was a gift from Norsk Hydro, so the townspeople could get up to see the sun during the winter. Krossobanen is closed until further noticeKrossobanen is closed until further notice
