The mountain Gaustatoppen in Rjukan in Telemark county is easily accessable and one of the most beautiful mountains in Norway.

A hike to Numedalshovda is nice to combine with a visit to a Norwegian mountain farm, Håvardsrud Seterliv.
Tougher hike than Gaustatoppen. However, you will get a great view towards Gaustatoppen and Tuddal.The trip is about 3 km and takes about 2 hours each way
Ryes vei is a path that goes underneath the cable car, Krossobanen, and is the way the Norwegian saboteurs escaped atfer blowing up the heavy water factory. Therefore Ryes vei is also called “The Retreat”.
