Gaustatoppen Tourist Cabin is located almost at the very top of Gaustatoppen (1,883 m above sea level). The cabin was originally built in 1893 and is constructed from natural stone from the mountain itself.
In recent years, the cabin has been expanded and refurbished on the inside, including a new café, a new lounge, and new restroom facilities. From the cabin and the summit of Gaustatoppen, you can enjoy breathtaking views over large parts of Southern Norway.
The cabin is staffed and serves food and drinks every day during the winter and summer seasons, which run until the end of the autumn holidays. Overnight stays are available but must be booked in advance.
The cabin is fully licensed, and therefore it is not permitted to bring your own alcohol either inside or outside the premises.
Gaustatoppen Tourist Cabin is certified as an Eco-Lighthouse (Miljøfyrtårn). See the report here.
Lunch and dinner can be arranged for larger groups.
We accept card payments and Vipps.
